Why this is the one we place most
The B8255 is where the AltaLink B series changes character. The step from the B8245 is not just ten pages a minute. The scanner goes from 161 to 270 images per minute, which is the difference between a stack of client files taking a coffee break and taking a minute. If your office lives on scanning, a law practice, an accounting firm, a clinic moving charts into a records system, a property manager digitising leases, this is the model that earns its price.
It prints at 55 pages per minute with a first page out in about three seconds, so a walk up job does not queue behind a warm up. The 250,000 page monthly duty cycle covers a busy office with room to spare. The 10.1 inch touchscreen holds one touch scan workflows, so the front desk scans to the right folder or the right person without asking how.
It shares every option with the rest of the series: the 3,000 sheet high capacity feeder, the office finisher with booklet maker, the long sheet kit for banners. On a managed print agreement with us the toner ships automatically, the meter is read remotely, and one local number handles everything else.
