At Uptown Business Machines, we believe looking after a customer starts before the machine ever arrives. Anyone can sell a copier. Our job is to help you choose the right one, and that means starting with your work, your volumes, and your budget, not with a quota. We are an authorized dealer for Kyocera, Xerox and Epson, and we carry DTEN meeting room solutions, so when one machine fits your office better than another, we will tell you which one and why.
Our promise is better than average service.
Once the machine is in, our promise is better than average service. Most of our customers run on a managed print agreement with Toner AutoPilot, our automatic supplies program, so replacement toner arrives before the old cartridge runs out and downtime stays rare. Behind that sits a real service bench: our service manager, our service contractors, and manufacturer backed support from Kyocera and Xerox. We prefer to deal with you as an individual. You call, we know your machines and your history, and we are here to help now and in the future.

UBM was founded in 2016, and it is built on more than thirty years in the office equipment business. I am Adam Smith, the owner, and the standard here is simple: give the customer the right equipment, service it properly, and live up to your word. That standard does not change with who answers the phone, and it will not change as we grow.

The community we serve matters as much to us as the machines. I have been a chamber member for many years, starting with the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce, later serving as president of the South Surrey and White Rock Chamber of Commerce and president of the Cloverdale District Chamber of Commerce. Today I serve as a director of the Rotary Club of White Rock. UBM is a proud supporter of the Sources Community Resource Society, and you will find us at the annual gala, the Coldest Night of the Year, and the In Her Shoes charity fashion show in support of Women’s Place. We are also big supporters of local hockey, and we have been the print partner of the Surrey Eagles for more than ten years.
