Why businesses choose it
This is the multifunction for an office that prints and scans all day. The engine holds 42 ISO pages a minute, and as the specifications note it is rated for up to 80,000 pages a month, with HP recommending 750 to 4,000 pages as the comfortable working range.
The scanner is the standout. The 50 sheet feeder reads both sides of every page in a single pass at up to 49 images a minute, so a two sided contract scans as fast as a one sided one. Copies run at 42 a minute. If you need fax as well, the 4101fdw is the same machine with it built in.
The economics carry the workhorse badge. A full 2,900 page cartridge ships in the box, the HP 148X high yield runs 9,500 pages, and the optional 550 sheet tray means paper for the week goes in on Monday.
