Epson WorkForce Enterprise AM-C400

This is the machine for an office that has outgrown desktop printers. It prints 40 ISO pages a minute in colour and black, copies at the same pace, and scans 50 images a minute one sided and 100 two sided through the 100 sheet document feeder. The 10.1 inch tiltable colour touchscreen gives every walk up job a big, clear target, and Epson rates the machine for 3,500 to 30,000 pages a month.

The economics come from PrecisionCore heat free inkjet. There is no fuser to heat, printing draws about 84 watts, and T08K high capacity cartridges yield up to 31,500 pages in black and 28,000 in each colour, so the cost per page stays low at serious volume.

It fits the office as it grows. The machine starts as a 500 sheet cassette plus a 100 sheet multipurpose tray and builds to 2,100 sheets with optional cassettes, standing on a cabinet or riser. Gigabit Ethernet and USB 3.0 are standard, wireless is an option, and a Super G3 fax board is available when a fax line still matters. PCL 5 and 6 and PostScript 3 come standard, so it drops into managed office print environments.
